Eight Worcester Cathedral ringers took part in peal on the heaviest ringing bells at Liverpool Cathedral on 1 January 2017. Congratulations to Nick Brown who is the youngest ringer to ring the 82 cwt tenor single-handed to a peal.
An example page from the Worcester Cathedral Peal book recording the peal which took place on 12 May 1937 to mark the coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. The work is done by Clare Griffiths.
The Guild is actively involved in the city community. Below is an example of the Guild’s advertising to support a series of concerts by the Worcester Festival Choral Society, including the Nelson Mass.
Nick and Sam came to visit from Kent in the summer and Sam wrote an article in their local ringing magazine about “our wonderful experience in Worcester this summer”
