After a presentation to Chapter and subsequent approval by the Cathedral FAC, we’ve placed an order with White’s of Appleton for a new bell – a sharp second.
The bell is the gift of Bernard Taylor and will be cast by the Westley Group. The tuning will be done at White’s by Nigel Taylor and John Slater will be hanging the bell. The bell will give a ring of ten using the eleventh as the tenor and a ring of eight using the eighth as the tenor.
The bell will be cast in September or early October and will be on display in the cathedral before being installed. The bell will dedicated at a Sunday Evensong. Date to be confirmed. Thank you to Bernard for another generous gift to Worcester ringing.
