Rung before a service to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Battle of the Somme. In memory of all those who died in the Great War. The bells were half muffled at handstroke.
The 11th has the inscription: “In memory of the men of Worcestershire who gave their lives in the Great War”. The bells were recast in 1928 and first rung on Armistice Day that year.
