Arrangements for New and Visiting Ringers

We welcome prospective visiting ringers and new recruits

Visiting bellringers will be welcomed to ring for services, practice nights, outings, quarter peals or peals with the Worcester Cathedral Guild of Bellringers. We encourage you to peruse the information on our website before finalizing the details of your visit.

We ask you to organize your visit by making a prior arrangement with the Ringing Master by email to secretary@worcesterbells.org.uk or via our contact form.

If you would like to learn how to ring bells, we encourage you to arrange to visit on a Monday evening when we ring. This means we can explain what is expected of you and what you can expect from us.

The WCGoB takes safeguarding seriously to ensure a secure and welcoming environment. We adhere to the Diocesan Safeguarding policy https://www.cofe-worcester.org.uk/diocesan-compendium/safeguarding/  and follow the Central Council of Church Bellringers Safeguarding Guidance https://cccbr.org.uk/2019/10/24/safeguarding-guidance-june-2019-update/. Our expectations are summarized in the Information for Visiting Bellringers. Please read this before contacting us. Please complete and send a declaration form prior to your visit. For ringers under the age of eighteen, a Permission to Ring form should also be completed and sent.

Procedure for visiting ringers to any Worcester Cathedral Guild Ringing:

  1. Download the declaration form by clicking the PDF icon below.
  2. Print out, complete and sign the second page of the document.
  3. Scan or take a photo of the completed second page.
  4. Send the image as an attachment with your request to ring to secretary@worcesterbells.org.uk

Please note that leaders of ringing groups will need to send separate copies signed by each member of the group along with a list of all the names in the group.
